Continuing the Trailer Vacation-fest, what would a trip to the mountains be without a water episode. This particular day we decided to go for a ride, with me towing the boys in the Chariot. The mission, to get a couple of national newspapers and hit a nice little local bakery 15kms away. Mission accomplished, as we climbed onto saddles Doreen realized she had a flat and we didn't have a spare tube with us, oops. I rode back to the trailer, grabbed the Pilot and drove back to heroically save the now extremely full family (maybe the cafe' owner slashed Doreen's tire so we could spend the day there???) On the drive back we stopped at a nearby river, Evan was pumped to splash around in anything. Keep in mind, these rivers feed off some pretty chilly headwaters, even though it was 31 Celsius in the sun, the water was pretty cold. Of course the first two photos in this series are the idyllic splishy-splashy-splash moments...

And then, in a moment frozen in time, a moment every boy eventually experiences, Evan realized his boy bits were dangling in ice-cold water; the look on his face is classic! Really, click on the photo, it's worth seeing it in a larger format, but as you click make sure you inhale sharply. ;-) As you can see in the last photo, neither boy was keen to do much bit-dangling in that water, hahaha.
