Route plan

The-drive

As of this morning, this is the route we are going to be taking back to Canada. 2600 miles. Approx 20 days of traveling. Waaaaaayyyyyy too much stuff in the Pilot (I'm sure).

The plan now has us leaving some time Friday morning and heading for Fort Stockton (boring) then the following day in to New Mexico to hit Taos, Santa Fe, etc. In Colorado we will hang out in Durango and area. Then it's on to Utah for Moab, etc. Most of our time on the road will be spent in these three States.

The rest of the trip will be a lot of back to back driving up to Vancouver, BC. Doreen wants to hook up with one of her lifelong friends who lives just outside of Vancouver. I'll hook up with Dave, my BCBR partner who is driving from Calgary to Vancouver. Then Dave and I are in for a full-on assault during the 7 day stage race.

Post-BCBR event it's back to Calgary and area to start prep for Worlds 24hr Solo in Canmore. It looks like the plan will have us spending two or three weeks in Canmore in the same location we rented last year, enough time to acclimatize to big mountains and that style of riding again. Phew!

That's the next two months in 300 words or less. Driving, riding, convincing a Black Lab to squeeze between the two boys, you know that kind of stuff. ;-)
