Twas the might before Christmas...

That was my last post, and in it you will see the photo of the boys right next to the cookies and milk left out for Santa. Shortly after that they were into pyjamas and snoring, dreaming of reindeer and such.

A couple of hours after that post, I was laying on a dental chair with the dentist getting ready to start another root canal, the second one within a week's period - c'mon it's Christmas eve, what kind of present is that, it's worse than a lump of coal. Anyway, while I was lying on the chair I got a text message from Doreen saying as soon as the coast was clear our black lab had snuck over to eat the cookies and knock the milk over. Apparently she looked appropriately guilty while simultaneously licking her chops.

When I got home at midnight, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

It wasn't too long before the boys were up and at it.

Check this out... Ruth handcrafted this awesome Christmas present which now hangs on the wall above my Ponte Vecchio Lusso 2 group lever.

Christmas dinner was massive, a 27lb turkey and all the trimmings. Four days later and we are still eating leftovers.

Coffee has been good, this is a Sidamo 'Ardi'.

It was a good Christmas season.

Yesterday we went out to do some XC skiing at West Bragg. Conditions weren't the greatest with the track being pretty icy. Temps were pretty good though and it was nice to be out on the skis for a couple of hours.

Here's a classic self-portrait off the iPhone, it looks like I'm ready to rob a bank.

In case you live in Texas and have no idea what XC skiing is here's some GoPro HD skiing footage for your entertainment.

The pic of you looks like you need a thick Scottish accent to complete the look. ;)
