World class downhill

Last time I rode Mont Sainte Anne it was 1998 and I was on a really old Specialized M2 S-Works hardtail. Summer fun blasting around Quebec with my Ontario pals.

None of us could do this...

Mont Sainte Anne has been without a doubt the most physical and challenging race of the season so far. The very long track certainly favours those athletes who are both physically tuned and technical. Rain and mud, this year, have made things, if possible, even more difficult for the riders. However the stress was also felt by the bikes. The fast and rocky traits, combined with mud have seriously tested all the bike and their parts. Punctures, flat tyres, bad falls, broken chassis, brakes on fire and more and more, the race put everyone and everything under real pressure. Even the top players like Minaar and Atherton suffered under these extreme conditions. The race ended up punishing every little mistake and every indecision. In summary this was an unforgettable race.
